The Arboretum at Rest-Stop-Ranch

In December 2025, Rest-Stop-Ranch became a Level I accredited arboretum through ArbNet and the Morton Register of Arboreta, the international program run by The Morton Arboretum.

Twenty-five trees, shrubs and woody vines along our wheelchair-accessible trails carry numbered signs. Each sign has a QR code; scan it with your phone camera to open that plant’s page here, with what to look for in each season, how it supports wildlife, and how people have used it over the centuries.

Choose a plant below, or start one of our tours at its first sign.

• Rose Tour: starts at sign 1, Pink Drift® Rose
• Lilac Tour: starts at sign 6, Maiden’s Blush Lilac
• Orchard Tour: starts at sign 7, Honeycrisp Apple
• Evergreen Tour: starts at sign 8, Red Pine
• Pollinator Tour: starts at sign 9, Climbing Hydrangea

Guided tours are free, by appointment. Text Mary at 978-887-4202 to plan a visit.
