We celebrate the Christmas Tree symbol in many of our homes, for whom many Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without it. The tree is a focus for the family gathering, for memory making, and for storytelling.
In our Accessible Arboretum, we offer a few very mature (very tall!) examples:
- Red Pine
- Norway Spruce
- Eastern White Pine
- Eastern White Cedar
- American Holly Tree (Female)
- American Holly Tree (Male)
- Douglas Fir

- Growing the Accessible Gardens (2026 Forest Floor Hardscape Switchback)
- User-Friendly Labeling the Arboretum Trees, Shrubs, and Woody Vines
- Creating an Artist-in-Residence Program, starting with Light Artist, Matt Belge
- Offering Individual and Group Support, and Memory Cafe for Dementia Caregivers
