Accessible RosesKarl and I are profoundly moved and deeply joyful to have shared our wheelchair-accessible gardens with our friends and neighbors this past weekend. Our vision for an all-inclusive garden experience has become a reality. On Saturday morning, we welcomed personal friends and neighbors from our local garden club and Arc home for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The 0.1 mile MargFMac Front Garden Loop provides wheelchair access to seven unique garden areas: The Cut Flower Garden, Orchard Avenue, Fruit and Veggie Garden, Ornamental Tree and Shrub Garden, Raspberry Patch, Cedar Grove and Tunnel, and Koi Pond.
We will continue to open our all-inclusive gardens once a month on Saturday mornings. Please check the schedule now posted on the “Gardens” page for Open Garden dates and times.
