On the 11th Day, before year-end,
We celebrate the Winter Solstice…and honor all caregivers for whom it is continuously “The LONGEST NIGHT.”
We celebrate becoming an Accredited Arboretum!

On December 2, Giving Tuesday, Sue Paist from Chicago’s Morton Arboretum ArbNet Program emailed us with the great news: “Congratulations to the Rest-Stop-Ranch on your successful accreditation for Level I through the ArbNet Accreditation program!”
Our interest in becoming an accredited arboretum is to:
- support our sustainability into the future
- receive validation from national professionals
- offer more friendly public access to learn how trees offer healing & support to people in need
The Accessible Arboretum Fund Goal is $10,000.

Our end-of-year goal is $25,000. Please Donate Today with MightyCause
This is our final push to raise the funds needed to support:
- Growing the Accessible Gardens (2026 Forest Floor Hardscape Switchback)
- User-Friendly Labeling the Arboretum Trees, Shrubs, and Woody Vines
- Creating an Artist-in-Residence Program, starting with Light Artist, Matt Belge
- Offering Individual and Group Support, and Memory Cafe for Dementia Caregivers
