It’s summertime, and just before our summer vacation (August 15 – September 5), it’s a good time to share the good we do for our community members, free-of-charge. Your donation is vital to keep the programs strong. Please consider a monthly sustaining pledge. Thanks for your support! Volunteers are vital to the programming success. If interested, please email admin at rest-stop-ranch.org or download, complete, and mail/e-mail a team member application.

New! Sober Biker Social & Potluck
Thursdays, 4:30-6:30pm, at the Caretaker’s Cottage
For: 2-wheel and 3-wheel enthusiasts (motorcyclists and bicyclists)
WHY: Rest-Stop-Ranch has served individuals with brain injury and spinal injury since 2011 at our Accessible Gardens. When Karl & Mary became motorcyclists they noticed drinking and riding is part of a dangerous culture in New England. When they learned about the rates of fatalities and injuries involving OUI, they wanted to help influence a more positive culture – a sober-living culture. DEEPER DIVE: When Karl & Mary attended the Christopher Reeve Foundation Summit in Boston, MA this Spring 2026, they met several individuals living with paralysis — some are victims of an OUI tragic accident, where they were the sober rider.

New! Thursday Social, Tea, Dance!
Thursdays, 1-4pm, at the Caretaker’s Cottage
For: Anyone needing/wanting greater social connection and positive emotional support.
WHY: Rest-Stop-Ranch has offered a once-a-month Memory Cafe for dementia care-partners and loved ones since 2015. In 2026, donors supported hiring a programs coordinator staff who is available to facilitate a weekly program offering. DEEPER DIVE: Social Isolation is a critical issue not only for dementia care-partners, but also for many who live alone with few significant social connections. It is estimated that 1 in 3 adults live alone in the USA.
