Morning Report: Spring Ring

Circle Garden Ring-in-bloom
Circle Garden Ring-in-bloom
We are enjoying the blooming of our 2014 2nd wedding anniversary planting – the Ring, and other bulbs in the Cut Flower Garden. This garden along with the Orchard Ave. creates a perimeter border around the northwest corner of the MargFMac Front Garden Loop. Walking the path feels like a Bulb Parade, and is a real celebration.
Karl and I planted the Kitchen Garden over the weekend including: sweet corn, squashes, beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, herbs, and two nursery beds of perennial flowers: columbine and delphinium.
Moving forward with a listening heart,
vision, inquiry, and action,
~ Mary
P.S. This past Sunday, Mother’s Day, from 11am – 2pm, was the first time we welcomed our townspeople living with memory changes and their care partners to our garden for fellowship, fun, and a refreshing break from the 24/7. We will continue this hospitality on a monthly basis in the spirit of a “Memory Cafe” through the rest of the growing season. If you’re interested in joining others living with the effects of Alzheimer’s/Dementia on Sundays (11am – 2pm) once-a-month, and you live in the towns of Topsfield, Boxford, Middleton, Georgetown, Rowley, Ipswich, Hamilton or Wenham, MA, USA, please email me for information.
