Morning Report: Respite for the Nation

It’s a sobering morning, walking with my morning coffee in the garden and letting the conversations and presentations of the last two days continue to percolate in my consciousness. I am grateful for the chance to have attended the ARCH National Respite Conference in downtown Boston this past week. Respite Coalition members from across the U.S. and Canada were present to share information and best practices related to educating families and human service professionals about everything respite: the growing needs, respite as a must-have, access to respite workers and funding, for starters. I will write-up a more detailed take-aways report within the next few days.
