During her visit, I introduced her to our street-side information kiosk, “Welcome Committee” sitting area, the wheelchair-accessible MargFMac Front Garden Loop (0.1 mile), and the Caretaker’s Cottage.
While sitting together on a bench in the welcome area, Joan noticed a view through the foliage towards our inherited (2009) redwood lawn furniture, which the former owners left us. She noticed how inviting the outdoor seating looked across the lawn. The scene inspired her to think about her own garden… and re-consider some older outdoor chairs now stacked in storage… how might she re-purpose these, still functional, as comfortable rest-areas among her flowers and vegetables, chickens and ducks?
