Morning Report: First Hard Frost Prep

Super Mum
Super Mum
This mum is a monster of a plant! We’re so enjoying it in full bloom on these final days before the first hard frost, when all else has become withdrawn… to the roots level.
This past weekend we cut back the summer growth, trimmed trees and shrubs, and collected seeds. We’ve planted 600 narcissus this fall, and today I’ll plant 200 tulips (tip: species and griegii types naturalize better than most).
Moving forward with a listening heart,
vision, inquiry, and action,
~ Mary
P.S. The “Take Time” retreat program didn’t run today due to low enrollment. I’ve also heard today about a friend who is suffering painful illness after caring for her spouse with dementia. It breaks my heart to see caregivers I know and love continuing to suffer the long-term health effects of dementia-care. This stokes my fire to continue writing for the health and wellbeing of these caregivers.
