Daffodil Ribbons Prompt Storytelling in the Garden

Ribbons Board Summarizes Results at the Daffodil Show: 4 blue, 6 red, 8 yellow
Last week, Thursday, May 9 and 10, we won 4 blues, 6 reds, and 8 yellows at the Daffodil Show at Tower Hill Botanic Garden. I installed color ribbons near the winning plants to prompt storytelling with our garden guests (Mother’s Day Weekend Events: Memory CafĂ© in the Garden® and Sunday Stroll). Having experience with people with memory loss, I expected some people might remember a time when they won a ribbon at a contest: swimming, runnning, quilting, pumpkin-showing etc. The main story shared was a surprise that so many types of daffodils existed.
Peace and Joy,
Mary
