Plan Your Visit
What to know before you come: the trails, the facilities, and a few rules.
Welcome to the Gardens
Rest-Stop-Ranch has wheelchair-accessible trails, seven garden areas, the Lily Pond Overlook, and the Caretaker’s Cottage. We are not open every day, so please check the calendar before you drive.
Getting Around
Parking Beside the Gardens
The parking area is right next to the gardens, so there is no long walk from the car.
Choose Your Distance
- MargFMac Trail (0.1 mile): A short, flat, fully accessible loop through the front garden.
- Full Trail (0.5 mile): A longer route through the pine grove and the other gardens.
Rest & Observe
Not up for a walk? Sit by the koi pond or on one of the benches and listen to the birds.

We maintain an on-site accessible porta-potty for guests. Please note: we do not have a gift shop, cafe, or vending machines. Please bring your own water and snacks.

Anyone who needs assistance must come with a caregiver, family member, or friend.

Most of your visit will be outdoors. Dress in layers, wear comfortable shoes, and bring sun protection and bug spray.
Picnics Welcome
Bring a snack or lunch! We follow a “Carry In, Carry Out” policy, so please take your trash home with you.
No Pets Allowed
To protect guests who use mobility aids or are at risk of falling, pets are not permitted. Service animals are welcome.

Please register ahead of time. Parking is limited to 10 spaces.
