Happy Valentine's 2017: Our 5/10th Year Anniversary!

It’s been 5 years since Karl and I exchanged vows in our back woods Meditation Garden, February 14, followed by an Assisi, Italy May retreat with Spiritual Directors International and Saints Francis and Clare, ending with a blessing with friends and family on October 13, 2012. It’s been 10 years since we were engaged in January, 2007, at a B+B, Three Stallion Inn, in Randolph, Vermont.
We are truly blessed to be a couple who survived a devastating dementia-care journey. The journey began in 2003 when Karl met mom, then showing beginning signs of frontotemporal degeneration (FTD) – including social withdrawal. In 2007-2008, Margaret’s end-of-life, over 18 months, Karl and I held together with phone calls and visits. In 2009, we moved to our home in Topsfield. We made a home-access trail wheelchair-accessible in 2010 with Tony Hurley’s Artistic Landscaping. In 2011, with Dan Jackson Landscaping, we built 0.1 mile wheelchair-accessible gardens, the MargFMac Front Garden Loop. A year later, we married. In 2013, we hosted Sunday Strolls. We added a Memory Café in 2015. Our inclusive Memory Café was funded by MA State Department of Developmental Services in 2016, and again in 2017.
With the support of many individuals, couples and families, we continue to grow as individuals, and as a couple. Thank you for your support.
