Morning Report: Redwood Table & Chairs Ready to Enjoy

Saturday was rainy, but still warm enough for us to labor outdoors with joy. We assembled our new redwood patio furniture: Table, 2 chairs, and 4 1/2 benches. This Pear Tree Patio set will provide access for all at our Farm-to-Table future events. The 2 arm-chairs will be reserved for elders and others who benefit from arm-rest help, getting-up from a seat. The 1/2 benches are easily removed from the table to allow wheelchair-access.
The patio set, made from sustainable and US-grown California Redwood, was custom made-to-fit by Forever Redwood, in San Francisco, CA. It was wholly funded by the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services, for our monthly Memory Café events , which will begin again in April 2017.
We are enjoying how the patio set completes the Pear Tree Patio room in the once-wild Northeast corner. We are excited to see our vision-in-action, the whole 0.1 mile MargFMac Front Garden Loop, becoming more and more, a realized respite and recreation destination for caregivers and people living with long-term illness and disability.
