A Place for Returning Karl and I have planted a perennial garden at my parents’ grave site. We selected plants that would naturalize well and have 3-season blooms: sedum, pincushion flower, ice plant, and thyme in front; sedum, yarrow and shasta daisies in back. The groundcover plants will help to control the growth of grasses and weeds over time.
This experience has been very meaningful and grounding. I have understood and appreciated at a new level the significance of having a concrete place to reflect on the whole of the life my parents and I shared.
Moving forward with a listening heart,
vision, inquiry, and action,
~ Mary
