Topsfield Fair 1st Year Awards!

This Fall 2023 was our first to create a display at the Topsfield Fair Flower Barn. Thanks to Martha Morrison, our Topsfield neighbor and President of Topsfield Garden Club, for contributing many plants for the display. Karl and John Coulon built the display over many volunteer hours. On the first day, the display was judged with others and won a 3rd Place ribbon. The Flower Barn volunteers, over 11 days, noticed how the Rest-Stop-Ranch display hosted guests of all ages for discoveries and photos. On Monday, October 9, the final day of the Fair, Karl, John, and Mary were invited to a Flower Barn Dinner & Awards. There, we were presented by Louis and Jo (Flower Barn Directors) with “Most Popular Garden, Flower Show, Topsfield Fair ~ 2023.”

The 9′ x 30′ display aimed to show a miniature version of our Accessible Gardens (0.5 mile) at our home in Topsfield. A brick trail led to a bench or table with chairs ~ welcome sitting areas where folks rested or took group photos. Children enjoyed the Koi Pond & Fairy Village.
