Vets, Military and First Responders: Thanks for all you do to keep us safe and free. At our event yesterday, we didn’t see any of you, but know you are in our hearts and thoughts. Our next steps are to continue with outreach to area Vet Agents and others who may like us to present to a local Veterans group this winter.

Not helping with hosting guests at our Sunday Stroll Event allowed volunteers Marlene and Corey to help with tulip bulb planting. Between Saturday and Sunday, with help also from our friend Hui Juan, we planted 16% of the total bulbs.

Karl built 12 dedicated tulip beds over the weekend – this will help ensure we have some tulips to enjoy come spring. Additional defenses include an oyster shell/garlic/red pepper mix with the planting, and chicken wire over the planting. Some readers may wonder why all the defenses? Voles, Chipmunks, and Squirrels!
