Our survivor’s mission is born of being dementia caregivers to my mom, Margaret, who lived with FrontoTemporal Degeneration (FTD) from age 60-67. It is still the hardest thing I’ve had to do in my life to date. My spouse, Karl, was a life-saving presence during this most difficult time.
Tonight at 11:45pm, we remember my mom, Margaret. It is the 10th Anniversary of her death (d. 12/24/08). She passed away on Christmas Eve night…10-years ago. We’re also missing my Uncle Mal (d. 9/28/18) for the holidays this year.
Transitioning to “a new normal,” without certain loved ones at the table, is a reality we all face sooner or later. Let us hold close the ones now present.
Moving forward with a listening heart,
vision, inquiry, and action,
~ Mary
