Garden Rx Open Garden at
Rest-Stop-Ranch

What is Garden Rx?
“Garden Rx” is rooted in the proven practice of therapeutic horticulture—the idea that spending intentional time in nature can significantly lower stress, reduce blood pressure, and improve emotional well-being.
During our Open Garden days, we invite care partners, those living with long-term illness or memory changes, and the general public to experience the healing power of our sanctuary. Unlike our structured events, Garden Rx provides unstructured, quiet time for you to simply exist in a beautiful, safe, and accessible outdoor space.
What to Expect During Your Visit
Our grounds are designed with accessibility and sensory engagement in mind. During your visit, you are encouraged to explore at your own pace:
- Accessible Trails: Navigate our smooth, wheelchair- and walker-friendly garden paths with ease.
- Sensory Engagement: Take in the vibrant seasonal blooms, listen to the native birds, and enjoy the tranquil sounds of our koi pond.
- Rest & Reflection: Find a comfortable bench in the shade to read a book, meditate, or enjoy a quiet picnic with your loved one.
