Caregivers and people with memory loss, living North of Boston, enjoy outdoor respite and recreation in our wheelchair-accessible gardens, April 1 – October 31, on special event days we name “Memory Café” and “Sunday Stroll.” If rainy or cold, we host these events in the Caretaker’s Cottage. Please e-mail or call to learn more or register. Small groups are welcome; please review our Recommendations for Small Group Leaders hand-out and schedule an on-site visit prior to bringing a group.
This year, 2017, we continue to offer a once-a-month Sunday Stroll for wheelchair-users and care partners. April 9, 11am – 2pm, is the first Sunday Stroll of the season. Bring a picnic. Enjoy Bird Tales, Fish Tales, Drums & Dancing & a Flower Fun craft project. Learn more about our Sunday Strolls >
We are expanding our Memory Café program this year beyond a once-a-month offering (previously offered together with the Sunday Stroll), to a weekly offering during the growing season, most Saturdays, 10am – 12pm. We invite friends with memory loss and care partners to stop by our growing garden on these Saturdays to see what’s happening. Bring a picnic. Enjoy Bird Tales, Fish Tales, Drums & Dancing & a Flower Fun craft project. Learn more about our Memory Café >
Volunteers, age 14+, are welcome to join us with hosting our friends with disabilities, and/or helping with horticulture/trail maintenance. Contact me to learn more about volunteering.

If these sidewalk signs are out by our information kiosk, then we are hosting either a Memory Café or a Sunday Stroll. These signs and others are part of our 2017 raising awareness campaign for our Memory Café, funded by MA DDS.

P.S. We’ve picked up our pansies for planting soon in our outdoor boxes. It’s almost safe to plant them outside.
