Happy Lilac Fest! First Day of ‘Late Spring’ Season!

Learning more and more about spring plants, I discovered the plant people organize them into three categories:

  • Early Spring
  • Mid Spring
  • Late Spring

I haven’t found it published anywhere yet, but my logic tells me…
If the first day of Spring is March 20, and the first day of Summer is June 20, then Mid Spring begins April 20, and Late Spring begins today!

This is our Lilac Time! 30 lilac plants are now wheelchair-accessible, and we have 60 plants in the collection, accessible by wheelchair-accessible trail, by lawn or by hill. This suits many different abilities.
