David, Angela & Miles Enjoy AccessWe started our 2020 once-a-month “Sunday Stroll” open garden program yesterday, Easter Sunday. The usual hospitality hours 11am – 2pm, were extended on both ends (10am – 4:30pm) to accommodate a total of three private groups (one pair of sisters, one individual, and one family of three included a six-month old baby!). In addition to enjoying the 0.1 mile MargFMac Front Garden Loop, all guests explored our newest project, building wheelchair-access in the Secret Garden. Karl started wooden edging on Saturday, and completed the layout through and beyond the 1909 well and sitting area. We discussed user-experience design best practices in these areas:
The corner nearest the grapes
The entrance on and exit off the Tree Fort
The sitting area exiting left from the Tree Fort
The sitting area near the 1909 well
Our once-a-month Sunday Stroll is for wheelchair-users and care-partners to enjoy our wheelchair-accessible gardens. During the pandemic, we offer private reservations by the half-hour and hour. The next program date is May 10, 11am – 2pm, Mother’s Day. Six private half-hour reservations are available, and may be combined for up to a 60 minute private visit. Call or text me (978-887-4202) to make a reservation.
